Donate to an Op Shop

The Epilepsy Foundation welcomes donations of good quality furniture, clothes, homewares, kitchenware, books, electrical items and bric-a-brac. The sale of donated quality goods to the public allows the Epilepsy Foundation to continue supporting people living with epilepsy.

If you would like to drop off items, just visit your local Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop during opening hours, where the team will welcome and thank you for your generosity. Please don’t leave donations in front of our Op Shop outside of opening hours as your pre-loved goods may get damaged by the weather or even stolen. It also means we can’t greet you and thank you for thinking of us.

If your donated items are too large (such as furniture), or you have a lot to donate we can arrange for items to be picked up for free from your home. If you want item/s to be picked up just speak to staff at your local Op Shop who can let you know if the item is suitable, and whether a pick-up is available in your area. Unfortunately, we can’t accept goods which are broken, damaged or stained.

Read our Accepted Items List to ensure the goods you donate are suitable for donation.

So, if you are thinking about throwing away quality household items, consider donating them to your local Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop. Your generosity is always welcomed.

Please note that, in some instances, we are unable to accept white goods/electrical items and mattresses due to Government regulations. Please phone Darren on 0425 799 415 or email us to check whether your items are suitable for donation.

You never know what you'll find!

Arrange a Pick Up of Your Large Items

We are grateful for your donations of pre-loved goods.  Donations must be clean, of good quality and in good repair.

To organise pickups of quality furniture please enter your details including your postcode with a brief description and photo of your donation. A member of our team will be in contact with you within two working days. If there are several items of sale-able quality, we will organise a pick-up in Melbourne metro areas. Please note that we do not accept mattresses.

Please complete form using the link below if you would like to arrange pick up of your donation items and one of our team will be in contact with you soon.

Please allow five to seven days for pick up. Unfortunately due to limited resources we do not service all areas.

Volunteer at an Op Shop

Volunteering is a fantastic way of giving back while raising funds to help people who need it most.  Volunteers get to draw on and share their own experiences while learning new skills in a professional and supportive working environment. Our volunteers gain the satisfaction of helping people living with epilepsy while making new friends and community connections. Enrich your life and the lives of others – become a volunteer. If your motivation for volunteering includes a belief in our work at the Epilepsy Foundation, we will endeavour to find the best option to meet your needs.

*We offer confirmation certificates for 50 or more volunteering hours and placements for retail students.
